Dialect
A dialect is a form of a language that is spoken in a particular geographical area or by a particular group of people. Dialects can vary in terms of their
vocabulary,
grammar, and
pronunciation, and they may also have distinctive characteristics that distinguish them from other varieties of the language. Dialects can be seen as distinct from the standard form of a language, which is usually based on the language spoken by educated people in the central or dominant region of a country. In some cases, a dialect may be so different from the standard language that it is considered to be a separate language altogether.
