We want to keep the grammar part as short as possible and explain only the most important parts per lesson.

Lesson 001 - Introduce yourself

You saw that in the first lesson at the only spoke in the first person. The verb adapts to the pronoun, in this case to the pronoun "Ich".


Did you recognize the verbs in the sentences?
They were the verbs "wohnen(
to live)", "heißen (to be called)", "kommen(to come)", and "arbeiten(to work)".


And did you notice that all verbs end in -e? This is how to conjugate verbs for the pronoun "Ich" in the simple present.


Conjugate verbs with the pronoun "ich" in simple present

heißen(to be called) - Ich heiße

wohnen (to live) - Ich wohne

kommen (to come) - Ich komme

arbeiten (to work) - Ich arbeite


The formula is

infinitive - n = conjugation of the verb for the pronoun "ich" in the simple present.
