Summary season 1

In Season 1 of "Morden i Sandhamn" (also known as "Still Waters"), Nora and her children stumble upon a net-covered corpse while swimming at the beach. Margit sends Thomas and his team to retrieve the body, which is identified as Krister, who had been missing since March. Nora informs Henrik, another police officer, about the discovery. Meanwhile, Signe, a local resident, takes an interest in the case.

Carina updates Thomas that Krister's girlfriend, Kicki, has been notified of his death. A stakeout is conducted outside Kicki's flat, but Thomas oversleeps, and Carina tries to contact him urgently. When Carina follows Kicki on a ferry to Sandhamn, she loses track of her. Nora greets Harald and Monica at the ferry, and Thomas disembarks later. Nora tells Thomas about Jonny's identifying mark, which Harald recognizes.

Jonny shows Kicki a sketch at a bar, and Henrik warns Nora to stay away from the case. Thomas searches for Kicki but is informed she is at a hostel. The next day, Thomas receives a call that Kicki is dead, and her purse contains Jonny's drawing and the identifying mark.

While Carina monitors Kicki's corpse, Thomas returns to Jonny's place, but Jonny escapes on his speedboat. Margit is displeased with Thomas's performance and sends him home. Nora sees Thomas returning to Nacka on the ferry and realizes Jonny is now a suspect. They disembark at Harö, and Nora directs Thomas to Jonny's fishing lodge, but they find no trace of him.

Jonny holds Nora at gunpoint, explaining that Kicki fell, was bleeding, and left. Henrik witnesses their arrival, and Thomas believes Jonny is innocent. However, Margit remains unconvinced. Henrik becomes jealous of Nora's interaction with Thomas and slaps her, leading Nora to lock herself in a room.

Nora eventually finds her missing children with Kajsa's help. Thomas and Carina ask Signe to identify a man in a photo found at Krister's flat, but she can't. They discover a skeleton in a cave, identified as Signe's late husband, Allan Black. Nora realizes that Signe killed Allan, Krister, and Kicki.

Confronting Signe, Nora is locked in a lighthouse with an anchor tied around her neck. The police find Signe's boat with Nora's shoes. Thomas sees the lighthouse's fire at nightfall and rescues Nora, concluding Season 1 of "Morden i Sandhamn" with a dramatic twist.

Summary season 2

In Season 2 of "Morden i Sandhamn" (also known as "Closed Circles"), the story continues with new mysteries and conflicts in Sandhamn. Here's a summary of the main events:

In "Closed Circles Part 1," Henrik steers Oscar's racing yacht to victory, and Nora hosts a gathering to celebrate. However, the joyous occasion takes a dark turn when Oscar is shot dead. Claire, a curious individual, searches through Thomas' belongings. Thomas and Mia attend to Oscar's body, and Henrik remembers a second shot being fired into Oscar's chest. Margit provides Thomas and Mia with a small venue to work.

As the investigation progresses, Mia and Thomas interview Sylvia, who reveals that Oscar had multiple mistresses. Thomas allows Mia to stay in his spare room. Nora expresses her desire for a divorce from Henrik but denies that it's because of her connection to Thomas. The police obtain Oscar's client list from Eva and discover that he had received threatening emails. It is revealed that Diana was Oscar's mistress, and she claims that he wanted a divorce.

Isabelle wants to celebrate Ingmar's chairmanship, but tensions rise when Margit mentions that a hunting rifle with a silencer was used in the shooting. Hans agrees with Martin's claim that Oscar stole money from KSSS. Meanwhile, Britta asks Nora and Henrik about her missing camera, and Nora tells her that Brandska is not for sale. Nora later informs Thomas that she is getting a divorce. When Nora returns home, Henrik attempts to reconcile with her through a romantic gesture.

In "Closed Circles Part 2," Henrik provides Monica's invitation list, and Nora begins investigating people who were not on the terrace during the shooting. The police search Brandska but find no signs of a break-in. Nora notices a cloth bag inside. Eva provides Oscar's client list, and Ingrid denies killing Oscar but lacks an alibi. Nora learns from Monica that Henrik will never sign the divorce papers and blames Nora for the situation. Henrik defends Monica's actions.

Thomas interviews Martin, who reveals that Oscar had taken 250,000 and that Hans had been informed. Sylvia tells Mia that Oscar and Tom didn't like each other. Nora asks Thomas to research Oscar's clients, and the KSSS board members provide their locations during the shooting. The police question Tom, who claims to have been in Nacka with other people. Nora drops off her children at the Nacka home and tells Henrik about Marie's suggestive message.

Nora visits Thomas spontaneously but discovers that he is dining with Mia. While checking Brandska, someone shoves the door into her and runs away. Margit informs Nora that Isabelle wants Thomas to apologize for the suspicions. Ingmar loses his mobile phone. Nora shares with Thomas that Oscar's bankruptcy properties, including Arvid's, were resold for high profits. Nora continues reviewing payments into Oscar's accounts, and Arvid states that he is not angry about the low settlement.

Henrik returns the children to Nora and admits that Marie is a confidante, though Nora does not believe him. Margit reveals that the threatening emails are from Tom. After receiving a message from "Indi," Martin arrives at a cabin where he is shot dead.

In "Closed Circles Part 3," the police discover that Martin was meeting "Indi." Hans explains that Martin lent money to Oscar and did not steal it. It is revealed that Arvid and Ingrid are in a relationship, and Ingrid fears their connection being exposed. Britta finds her missing camera, and Henrik acknowledges to Harald that the divorce is his fault. Harald advises him to sign the divorce papers.

Britta asks Nora to download photos from her camera, and Henrik signs the divorce papers. Thomas interviews Ingrid, who admits to dating Arvid but denies being "Indi." Diana reveals to Tom that Filip is Oscar's son. Mia questions Tom, who admits to threatening Oscar. Ingmar confesses that he is "Indi" and claims to have loved Martin for years, stating that neither Isabelle nor Oscar knew about his involvement.

The last message sent from Ingmar's phone was after he had lost it. Nora sees a cloth bag in her foyer in photos downloaded from Britta's camera. She returns to Brandska and imagines lining up a shot near a window, realizing the scent of a pillow nearby. Sylvia tells Isabelle that Nora is researching Oscar's finances. Nora informs Isabelle that she is checking Oscar's accounts, and Isabelle tries to bribe Nora. However, the police arrive, and Isabelle surrenders.

It is revealed that Oscar knew Ingmar was gay and was blackmailing Isabelle for money and sex. Isabelle confesses to killing Oscar and Martin. Nora decides to put Brandska up for rent and visits Thomas, where she meets Claire.

Margit instructs the police to investigate Lina's disappearance from the previous November. Marianne recognizes Lina's jewelry. Nora is officially divorced from Henrik. Flashbacks reveal a boat accident in October, where Sebbe died and Lina, Jakob, and Sara were present. Bengt and Ingrid were questioned when Lina vanished. The episode ends with a shadowy figure digging in the forest.

In "Guiltless Part 2," Hanna informs the police that Sara has been missing since the previous night, and her bike is gone. The police interview Jakob, who has no idea where Sara is and claims to have seen her at the memorial before going for a walk. Ulrika returned home later. In Sara's room, Thomas finds a necklace with the initial "J." The police collect Sara's laptop, and cadaver dogs discover recently removed human remains. The police inform Marianne about Sara's disappearance and that there is still no news on Lina. Jakob finds Sara's bike, and Mia asks Nora about significant events that occurred when Lina disappeared. Thomas updates Margit, suggesting that Göran may have had a motive and Jakob could be involved. The police examine Sara's laptop and discover her contact with a person named Måns. Nora reads local newspapers and learns that a fire destroyed a boatshed. Mia arrests Måns, who is found with a bag of pills. Måns claims he never met Sara. At the boatshed, Mia finds another necklace with the initial "J," which matches Sara's. Forensics find blood near the boatshed. Nora introduces Magnus to Thomas, and Göran's boat is returned. Nora and Magnus sleep together, and a mysterious figure enters a tower where Sara is bound and gagged, giving her a drink of water before leaving.

In "Guiltless Part 3," Nora sneaks off Magnus' boat but is seen by Harald. Göran tells the police that he left the boat, went to a bar, and spent the night with Lotta. The bartender confirms that Göran was there last night. Pernilla feels comfortable with Thomas, and Monica and Harald return the children without saying anything. A severed and bagged leg is discovered near the shore, tied with blue rope. The police search Göran's boat and find the same blue rope, a blood-stained hoodie, and long hairs. Göran is arrested for kidnapping and murder. Jakob reveals that he encouraged Sebbe to drive faster, leading to the boat accident. Bengt tells Nora that Ingrid would read Carolina's diaries. Bengt takes Simon and Anna on a boat ride. Ingrid urges Nora to go to the Lökholmen tower immediately. Nora discovers Sara in the tower, revealing that Bengt is responsible. Nora contacts the police to inform them that Sara is okay but that Bengt has the children. Bengt unloads bags on another island, while Ingrid takes sleeping pills. Bengt disposes of body parts in the water. Nora and Thomas spot Bengt's boat and find the children. Bengt runs from Thomas, who slips into the water. Nora hears Thomas calling for help, saves the children, and revives Thomas with CPR. Magnus leaves Sandhamn, and Thomas is hospitalized with a concussion. Bengt confesses to Margit and Mia that he saw Lina crying at Sebbe's grave, became enraged, and pushed Sara, resulting in her instant death. Nora meets Pernilla and Thomas at the hospital.
